A Bone To Pick (Charlaine Harris)

This is the second book in Charlaine Harris' Aurora Teagarden mystery series.

I enjoyed the book. But I have a nagging question: The main character was supposedly a shy, quiet librarian who never had a serious romantic relationship. (Always a bridesmaid - 4 times - never a bride.) So why is there suddenly several men showing up in her life, now that she's 30? And why can't my life be more like hers? Men, an unexpected inheritance, finding dead bodies... uh, never mind.
