Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested: that is, some books are to be read only in parts, others to be read, but not curiously, and some few to be read wholly, and with diligence and attention. (Sir Francis Bacon)

1st to Die (James Patterson)

I listened to this as an audiobook. I really liked it, and even my daughter got into it with the little bit that she heard. (I listen to it in the car, as well as on my ipod while knitting.)

The killer was caught about halfway through the DVDs, so I knew that there had to be a couple of twists to the plot. There were. We were able to predict each twist, but the book was well-done and kept us listening.

I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.
