Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested: that is, some books are to be read only in parts, others to be read, but not curiously, and some few to be read wholly, and with diligence and attention. (Sir Francis Bacon)

Ten Things I Love About You (Julia Quinn)

I like Julia Quinn. Her stories are fun to read. The characters are eccentric, and the dialogue is amusing.

In Ten Things I Love About You, the heroine (Annabel) is being forced to marry the wicked earl, even though she loves the Earl's ne'er-do-well nephew. I probably don't have to say anything else, because we all know how the story ends. It was still fun to read.
