Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested: that is, some books are to be read only in parts, others to be read, but not curiously, and some few to be read wholly, and with diligence and attention. (Sir Francis Bacon)

Marriage Most Scandalous (Johanna Lindsey)

Johanna Lindsey is one of my go-to authors when I want to read an amusing, light-hearted love story. I adore her historical romances, to the point that I've read and re-read each one several times.

"Marriage Most Scandalous" is one of my favorites. The story is a tangled web of misunderstandings and plot twists. It's not going to keep you on the edge of your seat, but it will make guessing the next scene a lot of fun.
