Eh. I love genealogy, but this was beyond what I wanted to hear about. The plot was good, with several interesting twists. But I had trouble staying interested, despite my fascination with the coal mining details. (I used to live in coal country, and knew families that were miners.)
Rett MacPherson has written other books in this series, but I don't think I'll be reading them after all.
