Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested: that is, some books are to be read only in parts, others to be read, but not curiously, and some few to be read wholly, and with diligence and attention. (Sir Francis Bacon)

Seven Up (Janet Evanovich)

Stephanie Plum is the greatest. It's worth reading the series just for the fashion tips alone. Wear extra blue eyeshadow to detract from a bad hair day. Don't have anything to wear? Just puff your hair higher. (What can I say? I'm a Jersey girl.)

In Seven Up, Stephanie finally decides between the deliciously gorgeous Joe and the wonderfully handsome Ranger. Mom's happy, because she finally gets to take her wayward daughter shopping for a wedding gown. Of course, nothing's easy and things don't go as planned. Stephanie has to rely on luck (and Ranger) to bring in her man. Meanwhile, grandma is out picking up men and Stephanie's formerly-perfect sister is picking up women.

It's another story filled with wonderful characters and hilarious situations.
