Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested: that is, some books are to be read only in parts, others to be read, but not curiously, and some few to be read wholly, and with diligence and attention. (Sir Francis Bacon)

Lean Mean Thirteen (Janet Evanovich)

Janet Evanovich was back to her fun, rollicking style (did I actually just use the word "rollicking?"), and I totally enjoyed Lean Mean Thirteen. And it had nothing to do with the horrible things that happened to Stephanie's cheating ex-husband. Really.

You have to admire an author who take an exploding beaver and make it work.
