I love Mercedes Lackey, but somehow I skipped her Elemental Masters series. This is actually the fourth book in the series, and I think I'm going to have to go back and read them from the beginning.
I picked The Wizard of London up because it dealt with a special school in Victorian England, which was enough to poke my interest. The mixture of historical and magical fantasy was well balanced, and I found it difficult to put the book down.
